It really galls me when the Christian Conservatives call out with moral outrage about the gays and how their lifestyle goes against Christian teaching. Coming in at #9 (or 8 if you're Roman Catholic or Lutheran) on the Top 10 (or the Ten Commandments or Decalogue... the basis of the Judeo-Christian heritage, is "You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor". The Christianists seem to have no problem lying when it suits their reprehensible goals. I guess that since they can do anything they want to anyone they choose and simply ask God for instant forgiveness then they will go on lying, cheating and misrepresenting what people are doing or saying in the name of equality.
Case in point: Speaker of the House John Boner went on the Greta van Sustren show last night and lied with such ease about President Obama's decision not to defend the odious "Defense of Marriage Act" in the courts. The Christianists keep saying that Obama isn't going to "enforce" the law of the land! Horrors! Except that he has said quite loudly that as long as the DOMA law is on the books it will be enforced. But that's not good enough for them. They will continue to whip their stupid. slack-jawed, gap-toothed half-witted followers into a Jesus-fueled frenzy by telling these lies over and over again until these fools are convinced that it is true.
