Indiana Woman Lonely Now After 23 Marriages

Those gay and lesbian persons not living in Massachusetts or Connecticut cannot marry their loved ones at all but this old bag in Indiana shows the "sanctity of marriage" by marrying 23 times.

ANDERSON, Ind. -- Throughout her life, she has been Mrs. Scott, Mrs. Street and Mrs. Smith.

She was also Mrs. Moyer, Mrs. Massie and Mrs. McMillan.

But the former Mrs. Berisford, Mrs. Chandler and Mrs. Essex was born Linda Lou Taylor.

She grew up in Alexandria, Ind., a place that lays claim to the largest ball of dried paint in the world.

More than a decade ago, the 68-year-old found her own way to bring Indiana a Guinness world record: She got hitched for the 23rd time.

Now known as Mrs. Linda Wolfe, she is the most married woman in history.

Two of her husbands were gay. Two were homeless. A few stepped out on her, but she never did the dirty on them. One choked her and turned her lip inside out. Another secured the fridge with padlock and chain.

"It's easy to sum up," she said of her life. "When I was younger I was just a snot-nosed kid, but the neighborhood boys were all in love with me. They all wanted to marry me."

She has been single now for a dozen years.

"I would get married again," she said, "because, you know, it gets lonely."

Ugh!

New Google Ocean Application Shows Possible Site Of Atlantis

I saw this on the Web and downloaded the new Google Earth application that shows underwater features as well, and saw the image below. The full story here. It's extraordinary!

Google Ocean: Has Atlantis been found off Africa?

A "grid of streets" on the seabed at one of the proposed locations of the lost city of Atlantis has been spotted on Google Ocean.

Google Ocean: Has Atlantis been found off Africa?

The network of criss-cross lines is 620 miles off the coast of north west Africa near the Canary Islands on the floor of the Atlantic Ocean.

The perfect rectangle – which is around the size of Wales – was noticed on the search giant's underwater exploration tool by an aeronautical engineer who claims it looks like an "aerial map" of a city.

The underwater image can be found at the co-ordinates 31 15'15.53N 24 15'30.53W.

Today's Hypocrisy Alert

Rep. Darrell Issa, R-CA, gets today's, or perhaps this moment's the way hypocritical statements pop up, first Karl Rove Hypocrisy Award for his call to the White House to make sure they record for posterity ALL White House emails.

WASHINGTON (CNN) – A California Republican congressman has called on President Obama to put in place a system that ensures all White House emails be preserved even if official business was done through private e- mail accounts.

Rep. Darrell Issa, the senior Republican on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, made the request in a February 19 letter to White House Counsel Greg Craig.

Issa specifically mentioned the new administration’s brief use of Gmail accounts after Obama was sworn in last month, as they waited for the official White House e-mail accounts to become active.

“As you know, any e-mail sent or received by White House officials may be subject to retention under the Presidential Records Act (PRA),” Issa wrote Craig in the letter.

[...] A White House spokesman told CNN Thursday that all staff were told to forward any official correspondence to their White House e-mail accounts, and added that private e-mail accounts are no longer being used.

You may recall how the Bush White House got rid of the email recording system put in place by the Clinton Administration so that they could allegedly keep embarrassing information secret. If the level of hypocrisy in the Republican Party weren't so staggering it would be funny.

Dynasty Cliffhanger!

Oh Dear!

We have come to the end of Season 3 of Dynasty from our good friends at Netflix. Season 4 is being released sometime in April. Here's where we stand:

  • Blake and Krystle have split up because of Blake's alpha male-ness about his family and how they should be responded to. He keeps everything from Krystle and she's had enough. She is living at La Mirage, Fallon's hipster hotel/resort. Krystle has finally gotten her divorce decree from her first husband Mark, the hotel tennis pro who was tracked down by Alexis' sleazy private detective Morgan Hess.
  • Fallon and Jeff have gotten a quickie divorce (she, in Haiti), and Jeff has married the doe-eyed Kirby Anders, daughter of the Carrington's haughty major-domo Joseph. Kirby is knocked up... 3 months along aftter being married to Jeff for only 1 month. She was raped by Adam in Alexis' penthouse.
  • Stephen has come home, after being tragically burned in an oil-rig explosion , following facial reconstruction. He has moved out of the Carrington house with his newly-found son, Stephen "Danny", left at the Carrington house by that tramp Sammy-Jo. Stephen has a new apartment that he is now sharing with his attorney-pal Chris Deegan. Blake is unhappy about his grandson Danny being raised by "two gays" even though one of them is his son.
  • Adam, Blake and Alexis' 1st child who was kidnapped as an infant, has come to Denver to seek revenge on his parents who abandoned their search for him and to get control of his mother's oil empire. He has been poisoning Jeff with mercuric oxide in the paint on his office walls. Fallon is becoming wise to the poison deal...
  • Joseph and Alexis have had words over Alexis' free access to the Carrington house and Alexis threatened to reveal some shocking secret about Kirby's sainted mother. Joseph threatened to kill Alexis if she spilled the beans.
  • Mark and Alexis have had words over Alexis setting up Mark in his rooms at La Mirage. Alexis jumped into Mark's bed just as Fallon came in and pretended that they had just had sex, ruining Fallon and Mark's nascient romance. Mark threatened to get even with Alexis.
  • Congressman Neil McVane had words with Alexis because she exposed McVane's affair with a 17 year old "Washington Lolita", with the help of Morgan Hess. McVane went to Alexis' office and tried to strangle her but Blake burst in and prevented it. McVane told Alexis he would get even with her.
  • Morgan Hess had words with Alexis over money. Hess needed $45k to get some gambling toughs off his back and he went to Alexis because of their past dealings. She ordered him from her office. He threatened to get even with her.

There... I think we are all caught up. Now, cut to the finale. Alexis has tricked Krystle to going to Stephen's cabin, ostensibly to meet with Stephen about his son Danny. When Krystle gets there Alexis offers Krystle $1 million to get out of Blake's life forever. But something is amiss...

So many suspects! Who did it? Guess we'll have to wait to find out. If you want to vote see the poll on the left side of the home page.

Happy Birthday!

A great big "Happy Birthday" to Dame Edna Everidge (Barry Humphries) who turned 75 on the 17th of February.

Slave to the fashion

Well, I finally did it. I bought an iPhone. I said I wouldn't because it had no replaceable battery, no video capture, and no expansion slot. All excellent points except for the fact that I had a 4 gb card in my old phone that never had more than 100 mb of stuff on it, I think I took 1 video of my cat with it and the battery problem is one of those "Après moi, le déluge" problems. My contract wasn't up for an upgrade with AT&T but I did it anyway.

Boy is this thing cool! I have LOADED it with "apps" from iTunes (great ones for free) and still have 12+ gb of space left in the memory. I really do love it. I don't recommend it for most of my friends as most are of the "what does the 'on' button do" ilk, but those of you who know what you are doing would find this phone invaluable. Mr. B. doesn't care for the fact that there are no buttons that you can actually "push" when you type so he will not be getting one, but I do like the touch screen interface, especially since I am coming form a phone (LG Shine) where you had to use number keys to text message.

I would be happy to share my experience with anyone out there in the "ether" who is thinking about buying a smartphone. Just drop a not to me and I will assist.

Presidents Day Car Trip

Mr. B and I are hoping to take a little drive to Provincetown today for some lunch and mid-winter sightseeing. The Boston Globe has a slideshow of photos of P-Town in the winter you should take a look at. You can find them here.

Mt. Rainier Puts On A Show

Some pretty amazing photos of "lenticular clouds" formed over Mt. Rainier recently. KOMO in Washington State has more. For a full resolution photo click here.
