St Patrick's Day Dinner

The Contessa di Pomidori prepared the corned beef and cabbage dinner and it was delicious! Brava cara Contessa! Take a look:

Yum!! We try to get together each year for a delicious cb&c dinner but eating out at restaurants has been a "shot in the dark". The only one we really liked was at the (Old) Bee-Hive Tavern in Sandwich when Bob and Tobin owned it. The corned beef was always tender and moist, veggies not overcooked and a generous portion to boot. Here is a list of some of the loser restaurants over the years:
  • Mildred's Chowder House, Hyannis
  • Mitchell's Steak House, Hyannis
  • Auld Irish Inn, West Dennis ($10 cover charge for a lousy "Irish" band, salty corned beef and cold vegetables. Plus we were required to eat at a table with strangers... supposedly "pub-style". Just awful)
One good spot over the last few was Doyle's in South Yarmouth. And it was only $8.99!
