Not much to report this week on the tomato front. The Roma plant is still "kickin' ass" as the saying goes. Fruit is getting bigger and the blossoms are still sprouting. I should get a great crop out of this single plant.
The beefsteak heirloom tomato plant has still not set fruit but I did notice today that the plant went through a great growth spurt this week. a good 2 inches of new growth has appeared since I fed the plant (which I do every week) on Monday to today (Thursday). Now whether this will translate to the plant finally setting fruit I don't know. It is getting a little late in the season for the plant to be just getting to setting fruit but who knows? Wait and see, I guess.
