One of my favorite shows was Designing Women. I thought the dialogue was brilliant, the interplay between characters, inspired; and the casting terrific (with the exception of Julia Duffy). Remember when Mary Jo had not been receiving her alimony from Ted and she had to take a job at Burger Guy? Well, here is a scene from that episode. I love Bernice in this one.
Customer: What kind of fish is it?
Julia: It's sort of compressed.
Customer: Is it fresh?
Julia: Well let me put it this way: you're in Burger Guy, it's compressed fish, breaded and deep fried, costs 89 cents... what do you think?
Customer: I don't know.
Julia: Yes, it's fresh.
Priceless!
